That was a second day, took a cab and went to office. We were made to sit @ ARBORETUM, a place for new joinees. Beautiful PC’s were there and we all took our PC’s and started checking our mail, blah blah blah as we didn’t had any morning session placed. My team has really a wide range of people from 2yrs to 13yrs experienced ones.. and everyone are lovely and fun people. So started to know more on each other. In the afternoon we had again a film session “Making of MindTree – 2”. In this they had told how the logo of MindTree came in and stuff like that. Our ID’s were activated at the end of the day. There our second day concludes.
Then on Wednesday, we were supposed to submit our profile’s in their format and we started seeing peoplenet (an intranet) and tried to know more functions and details of MindTree. Aternoon there were ICICI bank people there in Arboretum for us to open our salary accounts. Again we got our account no’s in a min !! with our checkbooks, netbanking, ATM pin no’s everything included.
On Thursday had been for a Medical Checkup, as it was compulsory. Later in the afternoon, a Finance guy from Banashankari office had been there to explain us to how fill FEP, Income tax forms. Really which was not happened in my prev org.
And there comes the Final Day, Friday of a week. Were sitting in Arboretum and going through some documents. Myself and my frnd got a mail from one of the Project Manager to fill up our skills in their projects format. We did that and we went in search of Carrom Board which was the means of timepass in perot. We got it and we were very happy. We started playing for around an hour. In the evening there were couple of teams playing Cricket on the grass ground. We too joined them and played the whole evening and that ends our sporty day.
All these four days, we had a food @ food court which was the common roof for couple of companies within Global Village. It had different varieties of food south, north, Punjabi, Chinese, fusion includes Non-Veg aswell.. So tried different food each day which was better compared to the cafeteria. We have Coffee day situated in the campus. We have coffee counter in cafeteria which always reminds Prasanna’s coffee to me, but anyways this is free of cost. We have again a variety of snacks counters out there which becomes the timepass area in the evenings.
Through out the week there was Antaakshari competition running out there from 4pm and I enjoyed a lot watching these with the remembrance of Perot Activities. So this ends a week @ MindTree. Still waiting for a two day Assimilation program on 17th and 18th and a project to work with .
